Topics we cover:

Ultrasound Machine Settings
Learn how to optimise your machine and navigate through buttons and settings. We'll cover the basic principles of ultrasound, including patient preparation, types of probes, and image acquisition. Understand ultrasound artifacts and confidently interpret your images.

Echocardiography
for beginners
Learn the basic cardiac views and become confident in recognising normal cardiac anatomy and the common cardiac disease seen in general practice so you can confidently decide when and what treatment is required.

Advanced Echocardiography
You are confident with the basics, you want to step up to the next level, master spectral and colour Doppler and its clinical applications.

Emergency Ultrasound
Learn how to scan the thorax and abdomen in an emergency case. Learn to recognise common emergencies and quickly use ultrasounds to guide your diagnosis and therapy.

Abdominal ultrasound for beginners
We'll cover essential measurements, how to take them, and their meanings. Familiarise yourself with normal anatomy to recognise abnormalities. Through hands-on imaging of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, GI tract, and urogenital tract, you'll learn to identify and understand key abdominal organ pathologies.

Advanced abdominal ultrasound
You’re already confident with the larger abdominal organs, but you want to find and assess the adrenals, pancreas, lymph nodes and major vessels through the abdomen.

Ultrasound Guided Sampling
Learn how to accurately target specific areas for sampling, such as organs, masses, or cysts, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and safety.

Ultrasound for Veterinary Nurses
From quickly assessing patients in an emergency situation to confirm pregnancy in pets. Get involved and confident with veterinary ultrasounds.
